Multi-layer networks are computer networks where the
configuration of the network can be changed dynamically
at multiple layers. Examples of multi-layer networks include
an optical network where both the WDM, TDM (SONET/
SDH) and ethernet layers can be dynamically
reconfigured and Hybrid networks.
